Shipping policy

Dear Customer: Thank you for ordering from Envirolite. Please read the below information carefully about our possible shipping methods. If you do not know which method we are utilizing to ship your order, contact us via email at sales@envirolite.com.

Shipments Arriving via USPS or FedEx Ground

  • Standard parcel shipping, no signatures required.
  • Tracking number(s) will be sent the day we ship the order.

Shipments Arriving via Dedicated Truck

  • 53’ tractor-trailer, 26’ box truck, cargo van, etc.
  • An Envirolite representative will contact you approximately 24 hours in advance to schedule delivery. Please plan for at least 2-3 people on site to help unload.
  • Drivers are not responsible for unloading.
  • Detention fee applies after 1-hour free unloading time.

Shipments Arriving via LTL Freight

  • We ship with 7-8 common motor freight carriers, ranging from regional, to national, to international service.
  • Once your order is scheduled to ship, you will be sent a tracking email via Freightview, our freight management software. Please open the shipment and review the details, including the pickup address, delivery window, and tracking number (pro number).
  • Unless delivery accessories are requested during the sales process, it is the responsibility of the person(s) receiving the shipment to unload the freight from the end of the trailer.

IMPORTANT: LTL deliveries must be inspected thoroughly for shortages and damages.

Shortages

      • Count the number of packages (pallets, rolls, etc.) and be sure if matches the delivery paperwork. Any shortages MUST be marked on the delivery receipt.
      • When we ship Velcro rolls with Carpet Bonded Foam, the Velcro rolls are packaged on top of one of the foam rolls. Be sure to check they were not knocked off while in transit and mark them short on the delivery receipt if they cannot be located.
      • Contact Envirolite about the shortage as soon as possible so we can assist by initiating an investigation.

Damages

      • If your inspection results in finding the product is damaged, clearly record the details BEFORE signing the delivery receipt. NOTE: It is possible for the outer packaging to be damaged but not affect the product.
      • If the driver attempts to pressure you into signing and accepting the goods without allowing enough time to inspect the goods, note this on the delivery paperwork and contact us at sales@envirolite.com.
      • If you have no intentions of using the damaged goods, even at a discounted price, please REFUSE the shipment. This will help expedite our claims process and shipping replacement product.
      • If the damage is minimal and will not affect the utility of the product, please ACCEPT the shipment. We can then discuss the opportunity for a discount, depending on the extent of the damage.
      • Contact us at sales@envirolite.com within 24 hours of receiving or refusing damaged product. Please be prepared to provide photos of the damage and a copy of the signed delivery paperwork.
***Signing the delivery receipt without noting damages states that you have received the shipment in good condition, free of any damages. Envirolite will not be responsible for replacing damaged product that has not been noted on the delivery paperwork as damaged.

Kindest Regards,
Envirolite Team

LTL ACCESSORIAL SERVICES

Please see the below list of LTL accessorial charges and explanations. NOTE: the descriptions of these charges are the industry standard, but the charges may vary depending on the carrier.

Liftgate Delivery: Mechanical loading or unloading devices, including hydraulic or electric lifting or lowering devices, to accomplish pickup or delivery of the articles.

Inside Delivery: Carrier may move shipments or portions of shipments from or to positions beyond the immediate adjacent loading or unloading positions.

Residential Delivery: A location that is a home, including, but not limited to a business operating out of a home.

Limited Access Delivery: A location that requires that the carrier make an appointment with the consignee, or the delivery location has restricted access. Locations include, but are not limited to schools, churches, construction sites, storage units, national parks, prisons, military locations, etc.

Notify Before Delivery / Delivery Appointment: For locations that are not limited access and require delivery appointments or a notification before delivery. Carriers will call consignee to arrange a specific date and window of time for delivery.

Guaranteed Delivery: Most carriers offer a service that guarantees their transit times for high priority shipments.

Detention: When the carrier is delayed by the consignee for loading or unloading on or near the premises of the consignee, detention charges shall begin upon expiration of the applicable free time allowed, and will end when the vehicle(s) are loaded or unloaded and is available for movement. It is standard to allow 30 minutes of free time for unloading an LTL shipment.

Redelivery: When a shipment is tendered for delivery and such delivery cannot be accomplished, through no fault of the carrier. Usually caused by the consignee being closed or not providing receiving hours to the carrier.

Reconsignment or Diversion: A request to change the delivery address; a request to relinquish the freight to another carrier; a request to return the freight to the shipper.
